Job Description:

We are looking for a Marine Operations Coordinator to join the team. The role encompasses fleet operations, regulatory compliance, commercial support, and stakeholder coordination.

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee the application, renewal, and maintenance of all statutory permits and licenses for vessels, tugboats, and crane barges.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and external regulatory bodies to arrange mandatory vessel surveys, inspections, and certifications.

  • Conduct periodic onboard vessel inspections to ensure operational readiness, safety compliance, and adherence to regulatory standards.

  • Liaise with suppliers for the procurement of spare parts, marine services, and bunkering, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effective purchasing.
  • Process purchase orders and service agreements, maintaining accurate documentation and proper record management.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for tugboat owners and vessel principals on operational and contractual matters.
  • Manage crew duty rosters to ensure adequate manpower planning and compliance with maritime labor and working hour regulations.
  • Maintain up-to-date crew records, including certifications, training, and medical documentation.
  • Build and sustain strong working relationships with clients, vessel owners, regulatory authorities, and other key stakeholders.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum GCE 'O' Level, NITEC, or Diploma in Maritime Studies, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong knowledge and competency in computer applications (PC Literate), especially Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • 2 years of relevant experience in the Marine operations
    industry.
  • Prior experience in liaising with MPA and PSA.
  • Familiarity with the registration, permitting, and licensing
    processes for vessels, tugboats, and crane barges in Singapore.
  • Strong communication skills 
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Proactive, able to work independently
  • Willing to perform routine onboard/onsite vessel duties for surveys and inspections
